In focus: The Law on the Protection of Whistleblowers (“Official Ggazette of RS” no. 128/14), which entered into force on December 4th 2014, has become applicable as of June 5th 2015 (hereinafter: the “Law”).
Working breakfast
Law office Cvetković, Skoko & Jovičić held a Working breakfast at the Falkensteiner Hotel in Belgrade on June 4th 2015, in cooperation with the Franco-Serbian Chamber of Commerce whose member is attorney Goran Cvetkovic. The subject of the Working breakfast were amendments to the Law on Planning and Construction.
Arcana
CSJ has completed a series of Greenfield agreements on the construction of recycling plants on behalf of Arcana, specifically for the needs of the French market and in accordance with French and English law. The plants will be constructed in several cities in France, and the total value of the deal is 10 million euro. The entire project was led by attorney Goran Cvetkovic.
Law on Protection of the Right to a Trial within a Reasonable Term
In focus: On May 8th 2015, the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia adopted the Law on Protection of the Right to a Trial within a Reasonable Term (hereinafter referred to as: the “Law”). The Law has been published in the “Official Gazette” of the Republic of Serbia no. 42/2015, and enters into force on January 1th 2016.
Law on Amendments and Supplements to the Law on Employment and Unemployment Insurance
In focus: On April 29th 2015, the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia adopted the Law on Amendments and Supplements to the Law on Employment and Unemployment Insurance, which has been published in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Serbia no. 38/2015 and entered into force on May 7th 2015 (hereinafter referred to as: the ”Amendments to the Law”).

Law establishing the public interest and special procedures of expropriation and issuance of the construction permit for realization of the project “Belgrade Waterfront”
In focus: On April 9th 2015, the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia adopted by urgent procedure the Law establishing the public interest and special procedures of expropriation and issuance of the construction permit for realization of the project “Belgrade Waterfront” (hereinafter: the “Law”). The Law was published in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Serbia no. 34/2015 on April 14th 2015 and entered into force the day following its publication, i.e. on April 15th 2015.

Law on Amendments to the Law on Verification of Signatures, Manuscripts and Transcripts
In focus: On February 25th 2015, the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia adopted the Law on amendments to the Law on verification of signatures, manuscripts and transcripts (“Official gazette of RS” no: 93/2014 and 22/2015, hereinafter: the “Law”) which entered into force on February 28th 2015.
Law on Payment Services
In focus: On December 18th 2014, the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia adopted the Law on Payment Services (hereinafter: the “Law”) which entered into force on December 26th 2014. Implementation of the Law is scheduled for October 1st 2015, except for provisions for which the Law provides shall become applicable after accession of the Republic of Serbia to the European Union.
