Law on Enforcement and Security

In focus: On December 18th 2015, the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia adopted the Law on Enforcement and Security Proceedings, which enters into force on July 1st 2016, except for provisions of the Law relating to the obligation of the Chamber of public enforcement officers and the competent minister to adopt regulations for the purpose of implementing the Law, which became applicable as of December 29th 2015.

Blue Center

CSJ is engaged as legal adviser to Blue Center for the refinancing of an existing loan. Blue Center owns the largest business building in Belgrade of the highest A+ class. Refinancing of the loan is led by the Erste Bank and Alpha Bank consortium, and the total value of the deal is 49 million euro. Attorneys Goran Cvetkovic, Mina Skoko i Jelena Jovicic are engaged in the project encompassing local and international legal aspects.

PSC Mobile Solutions

CSJ has successfully led and completed negotiations for the introduction of a software solution for parking payment in cities on behalf of client PSC Mobile Solutions (PSC MS). PSC MS has concluded an agreement with French companies Q Park and NetSize according to which the software will be used in numerous cities around France. Qpark is one of the leading parking operators in France, and NetSize, as part of the global Gemalto Group, is one of the major players in the field of security of payments. The entire negotiations were led by attorney Goran Cvetkovic. The initial value of the deal is over 1 million euro.

Law on Amendments and Supplements to the Law on State Survey and Cadaster

In focus: the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia adopted the Law on Amendments and Supplements to the Law on State Survey and Cadaster which entered into force on December 4th 2015. One of the reasons for adoption of the Amendments to the Law is the need for acceleration of the procedure of registration of real-estate and rights on them in the real-estate cadaster.

Building Legalization Law

In focus: On November 20th 2015, the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia adopted the Building Legalization Law which entered into force on November 27th 2015. The objective for adoption of the Law is creating more favorable conditions for the legalization of a large number of illegally constructed buildings…

Law on Amendments and Supplements to the Law on Value Added Tax

In focus: On September 28th 2015, the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia adopted the Law on Amendments and Supplements to the Law on Value Added Tax which entered into force on October 4th 2015 and became applicable on October 15th 2015, provided that provisions which pertain to submitting VAT tax returns and issuing approvals for a tax representative became applicable as of October 1st 2015.

Law on Amendments and Supplements to the Law on Public Procurement

In focus: On July 31st 2015, the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia adopted the Law on Amendments and Supplements to the Law on Public Procurement which entered into force on August 12th 2015, with the exception of provisions pertaining to the obligation of the purchaser to approve the annual procurement plan, which shall be applicable as of January 1st 2016 (hereinafter: “Amendments to the Law”).

Law on Amendments and Supplements to the Mortgage Law

In focus: On July 7th 2015, the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia adopted the Law on Amendments and Supplements to the Mortgage Law which entered into force on July 16th 2015 (hereinafter: the “Amendments to the Law“).
