New measures related to the holding of cultural events

After yesterday’s session of the Crisis Headquarters, new measures were adopted and will take effect as of Monday, 24 August 2020 in connection with the holding of cultural events.

This notice is based on the announcement of the Government of the Republic of Serbia. The formal decision regarding this matter is still pending.

Namely, the decision was reached to permit the holding of cultural events before live audiences, such as cinemas, theatres and concerts in cultural institutions as of Monday, 24 August, with restrictions that the organizers must strictly comply with.

The presence of an audience, i.e. spectators is limited to a maximum number of five hundred. The stated restriction applies to cinema and theatre venues, but also larger halls and arenas where no more than 500 spectators may be present.

Event organizers are obliged to comply with all preventive measures when organizing the events, as agreed at the meeting of the Serbian Prime Minister and theatre, cinema and event representatives.
Wearing masks is obligatory, as is maintaining a physical distance of 1.5 meters, i.e. one empty seat between spectators.
