The National Bank of Serbia has adopted new decisions on the delay (moratorium) of obligations based on loans and leasing: the Decision on interim measures for banks to mitigate the consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic with the aim to preserve the stability of the financial system; and the Decision on interim measures for financial leasing providers to mitigate the consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic with the aim to preserve the stability of the financial system.

NCR campus

Appointed as legal advisor to the NCR campus project, CSJ was in charge of the due diligence report and all contracts that marked the beginning of construction of the largest technology camp of this American corporation in Europe. The campus building, whose foundation was laid in mid-May in Block 42 in Milutin Milankovic Blvd, will occupy an area of approx. 30,000 m2, with two underground levels for parking, a ground floor for retail and catering facilities, and seven additional floors offering modern office space. Attorneys Goran Cvetkovic and Mina Skoko led the team participating in the successful realization of this 90-million-dollar investment.

Law on Amendments and Supplements to the Law on Personal Income Tax

The Law on Amendments and Supplements to the Law on Personal Income Tax has become applicable as of January 1st 2018, unless otherwise indicated. The purpose of the novelties envisaged by the Amendments to the Law is to incite entrepreneurship, eliminate obstacles for initiating and conducting business through the establishment of tax exemption, and reduce the gray market.

Law on Amendments and Supplements to the Company Law

On 1 October 2018, most provisions of the Law on the Amendments and Supplements to the Company Law come into force, while the provisions regulating the cross-border merger and absorption of companies, the European Society and European Economic Interest Grouping shall apply as of 1 January 2022. The main reason for adopting the Law is to harmonize the legal system of the Republic of Serbia with the acquis of the EU in the field of corporate law.
